Fully Customized Digital Estate Plan for a Married Couple - $199
This option is for married Illinois residents to write their digital estate plan that consists of a traditional Will and a separate legal document that inventories your digital footprint regarding a digital afterlife.
Michael E. Byczek has been a licensed Illinois attorney since 2007.
You shall receive:
1. A fully customized Will package for a married couple based on your life, property, family, and personal preferences. Each of the two Wills is completely independent of the other.
2. A separate document (one for each Will) with instructions for your digital afterlife. This includes complete login credentials for all your online accounts with specific instructions for each. This document alone is sometimes called a "digital estate plan" while the collective documents form a standard "estate plan".
Each Will refers to the digital estate plan without exposing private information, such as passwords. Together, the Will and Digital Estate Plan formalize your decisions about a digital afterlife and prospect of being brought back with an AI-generated avatar to interact with the living. For instance, the Will names a data executor and summarizes your decision to have your digital footprint deleted after death along with express refusal to give consent regarding an AI-generated afterlife. The Will refers to the digital estate plan for the list of passwords and grants your data executor legal authority to carry out your wishes.
Once payment is received and the written Attorney-Client agreement acknowledged, you will receive access to a secure collaborative file sharing platform to exchange documents and information, such as family details. The digital estate plan shall be discussed and formatted without actual passwords or login credentials. You will complete this private information on your own through fill-in-the-blanks afterwards.
Each page of the Will includes a notary provision. A notarized witness affidavit is also included. While not required by law, Michael E. Byczek includes these provisions for the best possible protection.
The final format of each document, and whether the digital estate plan may also need further formalities, depend on your final decisions and how best to carry out legal protection.
Disclaimer: This package is only for residents of Illinois. Even if you have a Will and want to add a digital estate plan, the Will should be updated to reflect your decisions regarding a digital afterlife. The digital estate plan without corresponding reference in the traditional Will may render such decisions unenforceable.
The documents are provided for personal non-commercial use.

Each spouse must submit their own separate attorney-client agreement. Only one fee is required, even though two agreements are submitted. This step is the virtual equivalent of two spouses signing a single physical contract in-person.
