This option is for Illinois residents to write their Will as part of an estate plan.
The Will is a fill-in-the-blank document for you to complete every provision yourself.
A detailed explanation is included to fully understand the purpose of each provision along with relevant laws to understand legal requirements.
The seller of this package, Michael E. Byczek, has been a licensed Illinois attorney since 2007.
Basic Version:
Name, address, date of birth, and social security number
Name of spouse
Alternate beneficiary to give all your property (spouse is primary)
Alternate administrator of your estate (spouse is primary)
Funeral and/or burial arrangements
Your signature along with two witnesses
Extended Version:
Itemize property distribution for one house, two vehicles, two financial accounts, three pets, and five lists for specific property (i.e. jewelry, coin collection, DVDs, etc).
Notarized Version:
A Will is legal without being notarized, but it is advised for the best possible protection. Each scenario has a notary option where each page is individually notarized to prevent pages from being switched.
A notarized witness affidavit is also included. While not legally required, it is advised to prevent problems in probate court if a witness changes their mind or is unwilling to appear in court to testify.
